FF

 

FF is an acronym I use when a friend and I might pass a +size girl, that I find attractive. I will share with you what it stands for if you promise not to scold me.

FF: Firm Fat.

I came up with it, and mean it in a complimentary way. It's the truth. Really!

Wishing you all a marvelous night, and a new year, and decade, to come. Hope all your goodly desires come to pass.

This image is from the upcoming V magazine 'Size Issue'. And in truth, the fashion fantasy we try to create and share is what we make of it. The question is not so much of form, but we should ask: Does the image inspire? That is the important 'The End' we should consume our tale with. This is after all a Tale. Otherwise any piece of fabric can cover us, and keep us warm.

The beauty of inspiration is how it can surprise us at times.

There There Designers | Tis Not Your Fault

 

After today's first batch, we now have a few more Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaigns to cry over. They make our way through Elle UK's February issue, and NortherStar who scanned them for us (thanks!).

While the whole season has not been disastrous—we liked Derek Lam, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin, Alexander Wang, Dosed, and Givenchy— today's ones have come quite short.

There is either too much of the same, as in YSL! Or too little inspiration: Chole; Or plain boredom: Versace; Or tortures: Mulberry; Or the worst of them all, Cliché: Salvatore Ferragamo!

So who's fault is it? The photographers of course. They more or less have control of the overall vision of the campaigns. From choosing the models, to the setting, to etc...

1st Look | D&G, Prada, & Chanel S/S 2010 Ad Campaigns

 

Thanks to NorthernStar for bringing us a first look at 3 anticipated ad campaigns for Spring/Summer 2010. Sadly they don't show too much promise, from this 1st look.

If i was to summarize my first reaction I would say: D&G: usual party, and denim overload; Chanel: dated & dull; and Prada: like it's show, a touch too dry.
