Update: Part 2

Having looked into, and followed fashion for a while now, I came to the conclusion that there are only a handful of designers that truly excite and impress me. While there are many good designers out there, there are only about 10-15 designers that stand above the rest. But then having looked even deeper, I realized that out of the 15 or so, there are 5 designers that stand out of the 15. Putting it another way, they are rulers in the kingdom of fashion. These 5 are true originators, and innovators. They’re the ones that are defining our time; with an individual and mastery point of view, and flawless execution. They need no guide or outside influence! They know what they need to do and they do it. With results that are always ahead of the curve, and that are a peek into what's to come. These 5 designers are Miuccia Prada, Nicolas Ghesquière, Marc Jacobs, Alber Elbaz, and Olivier Theyskens. They’re the designers whose work makes my heart beat faster, my lips form a smile and if I was a girl shed some tears. They’re ones whose collection I look forward to seeing every season and without them the fashion scene would simply deflate.

To the above list of 15 I would like to today add one more name. A designer whose point of view, if I dare to say, equals the 5 and possibly has a chance to reach their rank as the 6th. (But only time will tell that tale)! She’s a young British designer who I discovered last season and whose work I’m most excited about these days. Her name is none other than Hannah Marshall.

Who’s she? What’s her story? What brought her to the fashion scene? And what is driving her to such design, will all be revealed soon. For now, I simply like you to take a look at her work. It’s beyond marvelous. It’s extraordinaire.
