I was just flipping through ARTFORUM and came across the above photo. I instantly fell in love with it! It turns out it's from a movie called L'année dernière à Marienbad (Last Year at Marienbad) by French Writer/Film Maker Alain Robbe-Grillet, who happened to pass away this year (1922-2008). I need to now go back and read the article about this man named Alain Robbe-Grillet and who seems to be a genius; especially after seeing a clip from the movie. Though in French the clip spoke a thousand words. See it below and if interested read the article here. Of course these types of movies are full of old fashion, what we now call vintage; so, as well, enjoy that part of the movie!
