1st look at miu miu's F/W 08-09 Campaign.

As rumored and reported back in May, Venessa Paradis has officially replaced Kirsten Dunst as the face miu miu. It seems that while Miuccia Prada likes to stretch the length of her model's terms for Prada, she does the opposite for miu miu, replacing them almost seasonly. Maybe it's the Model to celebrity difference. So what's my first reaction to the sneek peek? I'm over all not impressed. The backdrop seems to be a bridge and gravel (an interstate?). Why? Plus Ms. Paradis position and lightening is a bit awkward, and off contrast, to the backdrop. In comparison to the S/S08 campagin this one seems to lack mystery and playfulness as well. Not what you expect for a fall compagin. Let's hope for better things to come and Vanessa looking beautiful is giving me hope.
